For Sale

This past Thursday I had 3 litters turn 6 weeks.  Yesterday I was able to get pictures of them all.  Here are a few shots :)

The first group of bunnies are LE's litter.  And surprisingly enough...all 6 of them are male :)

LE's litter is extremely friendly.  It's the notorious trait of the Giant Flemish coming through. 

This little guy's really cute :)

So as you can tell...they're all very healthy!

Next up is Dotty's litter.  She has 4 of her own, plus fostering one of Ruby's since Ruby had so many babies.  The little grey one is Ruby's.

They all have really nice coloring.  The sire to this bunch was Oreo.

And it's neat because the 2 black/whites are the boys.  The other three are the girls :)

And a shot where they're all together!

These guys are all really cute :)

And then last but not least...Ruby's litter.

In this crew there's a total of 9! There are 5 males and 4 females :)

And every single one of them looks like the sire, Achilles.

Normally the trait of the Albino comes through really strong, however that didn't happen here!

It's hard to tell, but this little guy's spots are a light grey coloring.  It's really neat in person :)

And those two white ones are both girls :)

He stretched to make himself just a tad taller right as I snapped the shot :)

And then this little white one with extremely delicate grey spots is a female also :)

So they're currently all up for sale! Hopefully they'll all find homes very soon!

Sold

Since we've entered into this month of September, I've sold a few of my bunnies.

The white with brown spotted male sold...

...along with the violet eyed female and one of the albino males.

So I know only have 1 of Kayla's left to sell, and that's another albino male. 

Then I also sold my breeding female, Peanuts.  She's now in a home where she's an indoor bunny and gets lots of time spent being held and loved.  The people who got her also had 1 Lion head bunny, so she and the Lion Head roam the house together :) 

And then yesterday, I sold 2 more bunnies.  I sold Harley's spotted female...(the one sitting in the bowl)

...and I also sold Flint, that sweet little Lion Head male :)

And now with the money made from that...we're going to go buy some rabbit feed with it :) And hopefully I'll be selling the 2 pedigreed Dwarfs this Saturday...

So that would be great! It looks like I might be able to sell most of them off before winter, which is very very very good :)  

Franz

This morning my Velveteen Lop, Franz has been running around the main floor of our house.  And when I looked for him, I found him with our one dog.  The two of them were laying together after they'd been running around for the past 30 minutes :)  So of course I took some pictures and here they are now.

And I also really wanted to take pictures with my sister's camera.  Because hers does a nice job picking up details and we finally charged the battery so we can use it again! :)

They're both just hanging out :)

Even though the room was on the darker side, the camera still did a good job getting this picture :)

Then here...our dog is smelling Franz's head.  

I just looked and the two of them are still laying together.  They're both so cute :)  I'm really glad Franz comes in and runs around.  It's actually very enjoyable to watch him run around and interact with us and our dogs :) 

Lots a Lops

Since I have nothing but time to fully recover from my wisdom teeth, I decided I'd work on my blog a little bit.  And then I thought with all the new bunnies coming and some old ones going, I'd put together a post on all the Lops that I currently have.

So I believe that I will start off with the male Lops.  And in the Lop category of things...I have Mini Lops, Holland Lops, and Velveteen Lops.  And with that...here we go.

Starting us off is Brody.  He's about 4 1/2 - 5 months old.  He's a Velveteen Lop and beyond sweet! He's a very good boy.  He loves eating greens and getting lots of attention. :) 

 Next we have Franz.  He's also a Velveteen Lop.  He's litter trained which makes him lots of fun to bring into the house!

He also has some neat markings :)  He's about 1 1/2 - 2 years old.

And as you can see by the pictures, he's best friends with our one dog :)

 Here's Watson.  Watson is a pure bred Holland Lop who's beyond cute and has more of a Tort coloring to him.

He's a little older than a year and hopefully will be having his first litter in a few weeks! :)

 Bruce is a Mini Lop and is a good year and 1/2 old.  He's extremely sweet and has nice litters.

Beautiful Tort coloring and loves attention.  Also my first male Lop of any breed :)

 This is my sweet male who has no name.  However, he's a very good boy and has his pedigree :)

He's had 1 litter.  He has pretty colors on him.  Very sweet, but perfectly content to be left on his own.  I'm really not sure on his age. He's a Holland Lop.

Above is Olaf.  He's extremely sweet if you're just petting him.  However he does not like to be held...at all.  He seems to have nice litters.  He's a Mini Lop.  His fur is extremely nice and very soft :) 

And that about raps it up for the boys! We can now go to the girls :) And with the girls, I only have the breeds of Holland Lop and Mini Lop.  I currently do not have any Velveteen's.

 Starting us off for the females is my sweet Cupcake! Cupcake was the first Lop I ever got.

She's about 1 1/2 years old.  Beyond loving :) I believe she's a Holland Lop/Mini Lop mix...although she might just be a Mini Lop.

 Valentine's a Holland Lop and is about 2 1/2 years old.  She's not the sweetest thing going, but she's an awesome mother!

She even fostered up an additional baby with her last litter.  She also has really pretty colored babies :)

Here is Ebony.  My newly named, fully pedigreed, little Holland Lop.  I have no idea on how old she is.  Although I'm guess probably somewhere between 2 - 3 years.

She's not terribly social, but I think she just needs to warm up to me :)

And this is Livi.  She's the daughter of Ebony and is a Holland Lop.  She's very cute with her one ear up, one ear down look :)

I believe she's probably around 1 year old, although I do not know this to be fact.

This is my sweet and lovable, Mini Lop Luna.  She's an awesome mother! And she just has the best personality :)

She'll soon be a year old.  She has a lovely coat on her and is one of the nicest bunnies.  I was so glad when I got her :)

This little girl does not yet have a name.  However, she is the daughter of Cupcake and one of my old male Lops, Benjamin.  She's very sweet and extremely cute!

She's definitely under a year.  She's not even 6 months yet :)

Then lastly, we have Ginger.  She just had her second litter last week and is doing an incredible job! Her babies are very fat and healthy :)  She's about 1 1/2 years old.  She's a Mini Lop.  I really love her markings, I think she's a really neat looking bunny :)

And so there you go! Those are my current Lops, both male and female.  I'm hoping to soon sell most of my males, but the females are currently all keepers! :)  All I have to say about Lop eared rabbits is that they are some of the cutest and sweetest bunnies out there :)  I HIGHLY recommend them if you're looking for a rabbit as a pet.  These are definitely the way to go. 

Newest

This past Thursday and Friday there were 3 litters born!!! Yay! :) And it was pretty lucky that Ginger had her litter the same day as my other 2, seeing as to how I just got her a week or two ago.  Anyway, here are some pictures from this morning.

This first picture is of Dadooshka's litter.  She had a total of 11 babies!!!! She had her's Thursday evening and I actually got to watch her give birth to all of them! The miracle of life in any form really is an awesome thing to witness :)

Then Ginger (who I mentioned in the last post) had 4 beautiful babies Friday morning! Right before I had to leave to get my wisdom teeth out, I ran out to my rabbitry and checking on Ginger and Cupcake.  Both of them had just given birth :)  Here are her's...

You can see that two will definitely look more like Ginger and one will definitely look more like the dad, Olaf.  The last one has the marking pattern of the mother, but the coloring of the dad.  Pretty cool! :) 

Ginger's a really neat colored bunny.  I really like her look :)

And then here is Cupcake's litter! And yes, she had her's Friday morning too :)

She had a total of 5!!! They're all so cute and have lovely, vivid colors!

The light grey one is really adorable :)

So with this bunch, two look like the mother, Cupcake. Two look like the father, Bruce. And then you have the little grey one who's independently styling his own, unique look! :)

And from this next picture you can see quite clearly how nicely Cupcake's keeping her babies warm with this huge mound of fur.  She's a really good mom :)

And then I thought I'd show you Kizzy's litter since she was the only successful one 2 weeks ago with her due date.  They're all so tiny and cute! And their eyes are beginning to open...making them even cuter!

None of them look like Kizzy...and none look like Piccolo.  However, they all have the same coloring as Kizzy's last litter.  So I guess those colors are just in her gene pool :)  They're still unbelievable cute though!

And from this picture you can see their little eyes opening!!!

Then for this Friday, I have Snuggles and Malaguena due.  I believe Malaguena is definitely pregnant.  However I have my doubts about Snuggles.  Oh well...I'll be finding out very soon :) 

Above we have Snuggles...and below we can see how very tidy Malaguena keeps her area...

Anyway, that's that :)  I'm hoping to go out there in the very near future and get pictures of ALL the litters.  Actually, tomorrow the second batch of bunnies turn 6 weeks old and so I'll have to get out there to get pictures of them so I can put them up for sale.  There's always something to do :) 

Naming

As you know, I have quite a few new bunnies.  Most of them I'm hoping to re-home, but a few I'm going to keep.

And well, when you're keeping an animal, you almost always name it...at least, I do :)

So here are the 3 Lop females I've recently received.  And I'm giving them their names now.  Sometimes it's hard at first for a name to stick, but I'm hoping these will click and work out very well for them :)

The first bunny is a female and she's actually the daughter of the female pictured next.  When I got both of them...and the male who's this spotted girl's father...they all came unnamed.  So for this spotted one, I wanted to giver her a good name.

When I name my rabbits, it's either because the rabbit just looks like it should have a certain name and so that's what it becomes.  Other times, I really do a lot of research to find the perfect name.  Quite a few times, it's more the meaning behind the name as to why I pick it.

And with this little girl, I did research.  I wanted to give her a unique name.  Maybe something to do with her spots.  But I couldn't find anything I liked.  So then, looking at her ears and how she likes to keep one up and one down, I actually looked up names that mean things like 'branch'.  Just because her ears remind me of branches.  Why? I don't know.  But they do.

So anyway, I looked through a few different options until I found my favorite one.  I ended up picking the name 'Livi' which means: Olive branch or Peace.  So there you have it, she's my little Livi :) 

Then I had Livi's mother...and when I got them, the woman who had previously owned them said she was the only mean one.  So clearly she wasn't going to get a name that meant anything terribly nice.  So I decided to go with her coloring.  She's a pure black and very beautiful.  Here were a few that I found... 

Adreana - meaning Dark.  Devony - meaning Dark Haired.  Ebony - meaning Dark Strength. Lisha - meaning Dark before Light.  and Mellca - meaning Dark.  

And with those options, I actually am having a hard time deciding.  However, I believe I'm going to go with Ebony, because it just sounds very beautiful to me and I believe it suits her the best.  She is a very lovely rabbit :) 

Here is the 3rd newest female that I'm keeping.  She came named...Elsa.  And her brother is Olaf.  Well, Olaf and Elsa were always together and this past Friday, Elsa had 4 babies!!! All are doing great :)  Surprisingly, there are no deformities, which I'm very pleased with :)  But I really just don't like the name Elsa that much and with her coloring...I just felt she looked like a Ginger, so that's her new name :)  Easy peasy! 

Her brother Olaf though...is up for sale.  He's not good about behind held and didn't mind scratching me at all...

Here he is too.  This picture of him was from the same day he scratched me.

Oh, and here's the other male I got.  He's the dad of Livi.  He's very sweet, but he's also up for sale. 

But I still have my 4 females to name.  I've got my Giant Male, Rhett Jr. named, which I'm glad about.  That was a very easy one :)

But those other females just aren't coming to me...I'm going to have to do some researching later today and try to get them named already.
