New Structures

All three structures that we had planned on building are up and holding bunnies!
You can see all three of them in this first picture, as well as a sink in the middle of the rabbitry.  That sink came out of my old table, which was taken apart as all the wood was rotted.  And we had a different (much smaller) table in our garage that we put in its place. However, the sink no longer has a home and currently is still sitting here, holding all the things that had been on top of my old table inside it.

Not only that, but the old chicken coop that we converted into a 4 sectioned hutch is gone! We dismantled that as well! And that's actually how I was able to get this picture of the three structures below, because that structure was out of the way.

But this structure, on the far right side of the rabbitry holds all my Lion Head rabbits.  It's really nice having them all in one place now, even the 3 males are with them in this structure.

And my middle, most recent structure.  It's been too cold to paint it yet, but I'm just glad it's up and holding bunnies.  This one holds all my Mini and Holland Lop bunnies, males and females.

Then the first structure built and on the far left is holding my Flemish Giants.  Currently though, it's holding LE, Cottontail with her son, Ruby with her daughter, Pumpkin, Dadooshka, and Rhett Jr.  But there's not enough room to also hold the albino male I'm raising up as well as my female Buttons.

And of course, even farther over to the left are all the hutches. And you can see the tarps in front of each structure, those are closed every night or windy day to keep the bunnies a little warmer and more out of the weather.  However during the day, they'll be put down, as bunnies need Vitamin D from the sun, just as much as humans do.  If they don't get enough, they'll become weak and sickly, leading to even more issues for spring breeding.  So with that in mind, it's important to make sure the bunnies, even through winter, are getting enough sunlight.
