Hell Is For Heroes

Hell is for Heroes, this epic movie starred famous men such as Steve McQueen, Fess Parker, James Coburn, Bob Newhart, Nick Adams, and the famous singer of classics such as Mack the Knife and Beyond the Sea; the one and only Bobby Darin.

This film was to represent the true story of a handful of American soldiers who in 1944 had to hold off a whole German company for about 48 hours by the Siegfried Line until they could get reinforcements to reach them.

This show represents not only a true story, but the tried and true American Spirit.

Our soldiers today are putting their lives on the line every day in different places around the world in different situation.

Shows such as the Hell is for Heroes is to keep forever present in our minds, the truth of what really occurs.  The real battles and fears with which our soldiers face daily.

This past veterans day, my family and I found and watched this Hell is for Heroes on Netflix.

While there were a pleather of personalities on the show, each soldier had something in common.  And that was the fact that they were willing to stand and fight for what they believed to be true.

They stood, even though there was little hope of ever surviving, let alone winning, they held firm to their position.

Whether it's memorial day, veteran's day, or any others, we should never - especially on the common days, forget what our soldiers do for us every day so that we may be as free as we are.

While we may be oblivious, our freedom comes from hardship, comradeship, tears and sorrows.  Yet our brave never give up on the endless fight for justice.

So having said this, I strongly encourage you to watch this show Hell is for Heroes and keep in your prayers the lives of our men and women who serve every day so that we may continue on with our lives as we do.
