Velveteen!

I'm getting a Velveteen Lop female today!! I'm really excited :)  Here's a picture that I was sent of her...

She looks like Brody to me :)

Anyway, I'm hopefully going to get her in a few hours.  They're a good hour and 15 minutes away and this little girl's $65 with OUT a pedigree!!! But she's literally the only breeder in this state with a female of any age, any color, any price available! So...I'm going to get her :)  I believe they said she's 3 and 1/2 months old.  So depending on her size, I'll be breeding her with either Franz or Brody.  We'll have to see :)

Picture

My sister found the coolest website that allows you to use different backgrounds, fonts, and styles to create things with.

I believe you can also edit photo's with it!

It's called Canva.com and it's really neat!

The picture in this post is one I did using canva.

And if you look to right, you'll see where you can go to my google+ page.  There you can see I did a picture for the background of that and I think it turned out really nice :)

I'm very excited to see what all I can do using this canva.  Now, there is a limited selection for use if you're not paying.  But even with that selection, there's a fair bit you can do and it all looks really neat :)  So I highly recommend this!

Hutch Re-Do

So I have this structure I've been using as a rabbit hutch, but it used to be a chicken coop.

Anyway, there used to always be this black door that hung off the side because when it had been a chick coop, we had an area for the chickens to run outside in and that was the gate so you could get into the run area easily.

Well, we finally took it off and it improves that hutch visually so much! It also makes it easier to quickly water the rabbits in that hutch :)

It's amazing how it even makes it look more open.  I know, not by a lot, but every small bit helps :)

And we'll be re-doing my rabbitry before winter!!

Soon, this look will only be a distant memory :)

I'm so excited!  If all goes to plan, the new rabbitry should make it a thousand times easier to keep clean and make it fast to feed, etc.  It should also look nicer too :)

But in the meantime, I still have a few weeks before we can tackle this project, so I'm just going to continue decorating it for fall so I can enjoy it in the meantime :)

Rabbits!

I went out and took some pictures of the 3 newest litters!

First up is Valentine's litter.  She still has her 4 and they're doing really well! You can tell they definitely eat well :)

I believe the colors she has are black/white, grey/white, caramel/white, and either a light tort or just a caramel colored one :)

Then here's Tasha's litter.

She still has all 6.  They're so cute! She definitely has at least 4 tort colored ones.  Then the other two look like they might be more the coloring of Piccolo...just a caramel color :)

Then here's Luna's :)

One of Luna's wasn't being fed and she kept dragging it away from the others so it was getting really cold.  So I stuck that one in with Valentine...although it wasn't in there this morning, so I'm afraid she may have eaten it.

But the other 7 are all well, fed, warm and happy!

If I'm remembering correctly, she has 3 torts, 1 all black, 1 black/white, 1 grey/white, and 1 caramel/white.

And then here are a few pictures of Dadooshka and her litter :)

I had to move them out of the hutch because Dadooshka found her way into the section with Snuggles and was attacking her.  Luckily, Snuggles is fine, but I did NOT want it happening again, so I moved Dadooshka and her litter into this wire cage instead.

They're all so cute!! :)

And I'm so proud of Dadooshka because she gave birth to 11 babies and they're all still alive and doing very well! They're all so sweet :)

Luke 14:5

'And He said to them,

"Which one of you will have a son or an ox fall into a well, and will not immediately pull him out on a Sabbath day?"'

 ~ Luke 14:5

New Bunny

So the woman who gave me the male Lion Head named Flint (who I've since sold to a very nice family) contacted me about taking their other Lion Head.  Except this one was a female and her name's Mystery.  So I said yes, and I got her today.

And as you can tell by the picture above...I put her in with Piccolo to breed since she's 6 months old and I would like to get a litter before winter sets in.

She's very beautiful though, they should make some adorable babies! Plus, she's the same size as Piccolo...so their babies should be very small!  I've changed her name too.  Mystery was an awesome name, but for some reason, I didn't like it for her.  So she's now Juliet, or Jule's for short :)

I had planned on breeding her with my male Phantom.  But he's just too big for her! So she and Piccolo are a perfect match :)

They both have lovely coloring, so their babies should be super cute!

I love spotted bunnies and I love caramel colored bunnies...and the two of them together should make for an interesting result of coat coloring :)  It would be really neat if there were some tri-colored ones.

And just as a side note, the owners to that Pug mix we found came and got him Saturday evening.  So all is well with them! They were very thankful we had kept him off the road :)

Lion Heads

I took some pictures of Kizzy's litter, as well as Kayla's last little guy. :)

I believe the black one's a boy.  And he's from Kizzy's litter :)

Then this little girl is also from Kizzy's litter :)

And then the two brown ones from Kizzy's litter.  One's a female and one's a male :)

Then Kayla's albino boy.  He's so cute!!

And their they are! My little Lion Heads :)

Babies

So Tasha, Luna, and Valentine ALL had their babies! I was pleasantly surprised by that :) Luna and Valentine both had theirs on the 17th, then Tasha had hers on the 18th :)

So I went out and got some pictures of them a little bit ago.  They're all so cute!!

So to start off, these are pictures of Valentine's litter.  She has 4 and they're so cute!!!

The sire of this litter is Bruce, my Mini Lop :)

Then here's Tasha's litter. She's my Lion Head :)

She had 6 beautiful little babies!

The sire of this litter is Piccolo, so they're all going to be small and adorable!

And last but not least, Luna's litter :)

She had 8 and they're all doing very well!

The sire for this litter was my dear Watson, who's a Holland Lop.  I got him fairly recently and decided to try him with breeding.  And well, I'd say he did a good job :)

It looks like there will be some pretty colors in this bunch!!

So as you can see, all the mother's are doing very well with taking care of their litters.  There was one of Luna's out on the wire yesterday, but luckily I saw it in time and was able to put it back with the others where it warmed up and is doing extremely well :)
