For Sale

Yesterday I went out and took some fresh, new pictures of some of the bunnies who are still looking for new homes.  I figured something different, other than with the light blue sheet behind them would do well.  So I took pictures of the bunnies on an old bench, near the woods.

These bunnies are all the ones who are older than 6 weeks, but are not purebreds.

So the first picture on top, then the 2 brown bunnies in the middle, and then the 2 black/white bunnies below are all from Dotty's litter.

Then this little orange guy is from Saffron's litter.

...and so is this black/white one...

...and these 2 brown ones...

...and these 2 light/dusty spotted ones.

Then this little black one is Nickel's litter.

...and so is this brown one...

...and these 3 white ones :)

Then these 2 brown ones are from Jetta's litter...

...along with these 2 black ones...

...and these 2 white ones :)

Hopefully this change in pace, with the fresh, new pictures will do some good and get a bit more interest, in hopes of finding these bunnies all good homes :)

Rosie's Litter

Both Rosie and Lilac's litters, even though only 2 days old, are all doing very well!

Lilac's been a bit protective of her litter, so I wasn't able to get any good pictures of the babies, however Rosie's been a little more relax, and let me get these 2 pictures yesterday :)

It looks like all the babies will be black or blue, with white! :D

I really was shocked to see 8 babies, since they're Lion Heads and also because Rosie's not a big rabbit, by any means.  However, she seems to be keeping them all very well fed, which is great!

Netherland Dwarfs

So I'm extremely excited to say...I'm into Netherland Dwarfs!! It's official! :D

Above is a female Netherland Dwarf I got a few days ago.  Her name is Bee and she's 2 years old, with a pedigree :) Apparently she's had 3 litters before and is an awesome mom!

Then here, in this temporary cage are my newest, (just got them today!) little baby bunnies!

They're pedigreed, unrelated, male and female Netherland Dwarfs :)

The Otter colored Netherland is the male...who I'm trying to come up with a good name for.  Since the older female's name is Bee, I thought Buzz would be cute for this little guy, but my sister has me thinking about the name Bentley.  So, it's currently up in the air :)

And the Himi colored Netherland Dwarf is a little female.  I have no idea what I'm going to name her...although I think it would be neat to stick with 'B' names, since it seems to be the theme :)

New Litters

This afternoon, 2 of my females, and first-time-moms, had their litters!

Rosie, my single maned Lion Head female who I had bred with my double maned Lion Head Phantom had a rather large litter of 8!

They're all so adorable! It looks like they'll be darker colors, like Rosie, except with white spots :)

And the other mother is my Velveteen Lop, Lilac who I had bred with my BEW Holland Lop male, Gorman.

She had a nice litter of 6 cute babies :)

Since these are both first-time-moms, I'm just really hoping all goes well.  It would be difficult for either of them to take on extra babies being unexperienced.  But hopefully there won't be any issues, and all the babies will make it to full maturity :)

Harriet's Litter

So...I actually think this is one of very few posts put up on Harriet's litter.  There's really no special reason why I don't take pictures of them often...but here they are now, looking very cute :)

Their ears are starting to flop and they're very adventurous!

I love the picture of the one in the back, looking straight at the camera :)

And as you can see, they all take after their mother, Harriet.

Their father is Bubba.  This is actually Bubba's first and only litter he's produced, since I've had him.

:)

They were enjoying looking around at the world outside :)

If tomorrow's nice, I'm hoping to let a lot of the litters out to run around in the runs and eat down grass...basically just have a great time :)

All their ears look like airplane wings.

:)

She gave birth to 6, and all 6 are still doing very well!

I had actually planned on sexing them, but totally forgot as I got very involved in just getting pictures of them all :)

Here are all the individual shots of each baby :)

This little one's ear flopped over it's eye right as I took the picture.

Baby 3 :)

...and 4...

...and 5...

...and number 6!

They're all really sweet :)

Even Harriet's been acting very sweet.  Before she was always aggressive, but I believe in this new hutch were the door swings out, verses in, has done wonders! It's crazy that something like that could make such a huge difference, but it really has!

I filled up their water dish, they all seemed very thirsty!

:)

This little one hopped in, then right back out again!

They're getting really big! Soon they'll be moving into one of the cages.

Probably not for a while yet, but depending on how many females I need to put into hutches these next few weeks, they may find themselves moving into a wire cage in the very near future!
