Nesting Sisters

From the 3 Harlequin colored sisters, 2 are pregnant and due this Friday! This first picture is of Brindle.  From directly above, she's look much larger than usual.  And today I put them into hutches to begin building nests if they want to.  Brindle's done a little scratching around :)

But Cheche, Brindle's sister is going like crazy working on her nest!

She's been pulling fur and gathering straw for a nest since early this morning :) I really do hope they both have litters, small or large, and are good mothers.  They were both bred with Lion Heads, so the hope is that the babies will be at least single maned, if not double maned  with that beautiful harlequin coloring! :)

Then I also wanted to mention that Shira had a litter of babies last Tuesday.  However, all of her babies passed away.  They were all really tiny, I think it was an entire litter of peanuts.  And she's not staying a healthy weight like I'd like her to.  So for now, I'm feeding/watering her normally, but adding some dandelions to her daily diet in hopes of getting her back to a healthy weight!
