Raising Up

So here are some of the bunnies who I'm definitely raising up, but are a little on the older side of things at this point of time.

Above is my Himi female Netherland Dwarf still waiting to be named and below is my Otter male Netherland Dwarf...also waiting to be named.  The male is beyond sweet! The female - let's just say she's out for herself.  She's the type who's constantly grunting, thumping, and just behaving badly for the sake of doing so.  The ironic part? I got her from the same people at the same time as my little otter male...and he's the exact opposite! He's no love bug, but he's fine with being held and loved.

And here's my female Holland/Mini Lop mix.

She's broken blue.  Her sire is Gorman and Dam is Cupcake.

She's beyond sweet and really pretty too!

This this sweet girl is my broken Chocolate Mini Lop female.

She's not big on being picked up, but once she is, she really enjoys being held :) Her sire is Bruce and her dam was Bonnie.

I'm really glad I kept her! She's a very pretty, solid little girl!

And this talented cutie is my blue eyed, broken blue female.

...who apparently LOVES to stand on her hind legs...JUST like her sire - Gorman!

Her dam is Cora.  She's one of the sweetest bunnies I've ever know and she's so adorable!

And this little girl is her sister.

She's a gorgeous blue eyed broken black female, Dam is Cora, Sire is Gorman.

She doesn't like standing up on her hind legs as much as her sister, but she still seems to enjoy doing it as long as you have a hand for her to rest her front paws on :)

And for this post - my last female and sister to the 2 above!

She's my blue eyed, broken black female.  Dam is Cora and sire is Gorman.

She too, LOVES standing on her hind legs!

I must say while all I did was get a few photo's this afternoon, seeing who truly blessed I am with the wonderful bunnies I have made me very grateful - and also very excited to see what rabbit adventures await in 2017, with so many lovely bunnies!

Misty's Litter

Misty's first litter...sired by Phantom, my Double maned Lion Head.  And all I have to say about this group is that I absolutely LOVE all the colors!!

I've been pretty excited over different colored litters before, but this group might just be the best :)

I have magpies, harlequin, BEW, and broken Tort with blue eyes!!

They're all so adorable and I've been holding them so much that they're all really sweet too!

I just love this whole group so much :)

First up, my BEW doe.  And yes, I'm DEFINITELY keeping her! :D

Then my little magpie male number 1.

And this broken tort male with blue eyes who I wish so badly was a female! I absolutely LOVE his white face!!

And here's the second magpie male...so cute :)

My Harlequin female who I'm definitely keeping.

And my broken Tort blue eyed female who I'm seriously thinking of keeping as well :)

All 3 girls lined up!

And all 3 boys lined up :)

And last but not least...the 7th baby to this litter...the small magpie colored female.  Since they were born, she's been half the size of the others, a definite peanut.  I know peanuts can't live very long and are lucky to make it even a few weeks! But it still is extremely sad to see this beautiful little girl not growing bigger, not excelling.  She's never been very strong and today seemed much weaker than usual.  I'm worried that she won't make it much longer, so I wanted to make sure and get her picture.  I love everything about this little girl and as long as she's alive, I'll keep her as my own and give her nothing but love.  However, it's not looking very good for my sweet little girl.

You can even tell how small she looks inside my hands.  She's so sweet, but she really isn't doing well.  Hopefully she'll still be here tomorrow and I can try new herbs for her.  I've already been feeding different plants, trying to improve her strength, however there's only so much that can be done and I will do everything possible to keep her as healthy and happy as I can for as long as she's alive.

Tasha's Litter

Tasha's litter of 6 seem to be getting bigger and more curious with each passing day! And I'm beyond excited with how many seem to be girls in this bunch!

Above, is a very cute tan female and below is an adorable sandy/white female with blue eyes :)

This adorable broken tort female with blue eyes!

And this very sweet little boy...who I'm not sure if he has blue eyes or brown...but for some reason I think they're brown.  Either way, I think he's very cute :)

This little Tort VM female.

And last but not least, the spunkiest one of the bunch...the tort male! :) This little guy LOVES to explore and is always on the look out for something to do.  He's extremely curious :)

I know I can't keep them all...but I'm very tempted to keep all the females in this litter to raise up.  They're just all so sweet and cute! PLUS, they have blue eyes :)

Kizzy's Litter

So...this past week hasn't been terribly great for my Lion Head Kizzy and her litter.  It started with the moving of her and her litter out of the hutch and into a wire cage.  Her broken blue female fell out one night, crawled into the cage of my Lion Head female Hera, where she was attached by Hera and sadly, killed.  Then one of the albino females fell out as well - after I hung up baby proof wire all around! I found her in the food dish, inside of my Giant Flemish male Chuck's cage.  Luckily, he didn't harm her at all.

I put her back after examining the cage, finding no spots or holes where she could have slipped through.  The next day, I found her underneath a hutch, with her nose ripped up.  I put her back with her litter mates and Kizzy licked her nose clean.  The next few days I kept a close eye on her, and she always stayed in her cage.  Then I went out yesterday so see her lying dead...squished.  Kizzy had accidentally sat on her during the night.

I was beyond crushed to see what had happened...and especially to lose 2 unbelievably sweet and adorable little females.  So Kizzy now has 3 babies left.

Above, her black/white male and below, her black VM female.

And here's her albino female.

Hopefully these 3 will do much better.  Ever since Kizzy gave birth to these 5, the broken blue and the one albino female were always much smaller.  Small enough to possibly even of been peanuts.  So while it was devastating to lose them,  I think these remaining 3 will be perfectly fine, as they have always been bigger and stronger.

Cupcake's Litter

I decided to get some pictures of Cupcake's litter while I had my camera out in the rabbitry this afternoon.

Dixie, giving all the little bunnies kisses :)

First up, an adorable little broken tort female.

And another adorable broken tort female :)

Then here's an all tort male...

...and an all tort female.

This little fellow...a smokey pearl coloring.

...and a second...

...another smokey pearl colored baby, but this one's a female :)

And last but not least, a broken smokey pearl colored female...one of my personal favorites :) I'm actually contemplating keeping her and raising her up!

They're all so cute and now that they're a bit bigger, are starting to get really active! They definitely keep Cupcake very busy.
