Bunnies - All Ages

So on Monday my female Luna (who's a small mini Lop) had a large litter of 9 beautiful babies!!! Three look like they'll be a greyish/white, four are all black, then there are two adorable black/white spotted ones :)

Since this is her first litter and she's such a tiny rabbit, I was really worried that she would have a hard time feeding all 9.  However, she's been doing a WONDERFUL job and the result is 9 healthy and beautiful babies :)

I took another photo of Tasha's litter, which she had on Sunday...

All 5 of her babies are still alive and doing really well!

Then Tuesday, I got an email from a lady who was interested in my Holland Lop male, Benjamin.  Except, she wanted to trade for him.  So we did.  And the trade was that she got my male Holland Lop, while I got her female Single Maned Lion Head whom I named Bubbles.  Directly below is her picture...

She's some sort of Lion Head mixed with a Dwarf bunny, so she's definitely on the smaller side.  She has a bit of an attitude, but I believe that she might be pregnant.  Only time will tell if that's true or not.

Then here's Dotties litter.  All healthy and well :)

There were a lot of really beautiful bunnies in this litter.  I'm throwing around the idea of keeping the female with black spots on her face that go down her back and as they go down, they lighten up to a pretty brown coloring :)

Then here's Pocahontas and her litter.

All the Holland Lops were sold, so now it's just Valentine with her foster baby of Dotties.

Peanuts' litter is growing like crazy!!! The black ones remind me of Rhett, and they're going to be BIG just like him :)

Then I've sold a few of Pumpkin's babies this past week and might possibly be selling another one this weekend :)

I'm definitely keeping the female that's white with Caramel spots.  She's so cute!

Cottontail's doing well, so are her babies :)

I'm planning on keeping this beautiful colored female.  She reminds me of a quarter in her coloring, very unique and beautiful!

GG's doing great with her bunch!

They're all so fluffy and cute!

I'm hoping to put up a new posting of them with better pictures to generate some more interest.

Then here's Malaguena's litter.

They're all so cute! And VERY sweet...they love being pet :)

The little Holland Lops and the Fostered bunny are all doing well too.

My mom thinks I should keep the female, but I'm not sold on the idea.  Although I must say, she's really cute :)

Button's litter is doing well also.

They're all so cute!

I was able to do a deep clean of their cage this past week.  It looks much better now :)

And Dadooshka's litter is growing like crazy! Too cute :)

She's a very good mother to them, including the black female who she's fostering up!

Then Kizzy has done a beautiful job with her 3 babies.  They're so adorable and tiny! I just love holding them :)  They are definitely some of the cutest baby Lion Heads that I've seen :)

Then also this past Monday, I bred Calypso with Chuck, Kayla with Phantom, and Harley with Oreo.  I believe all of the breedings were successful, we'll just have to wait and see :)  I'm hoping to breed another bunch of 3 this coming Monday.   I'll have to pick the ones I think are the most ready and eager to be bred again :)

Baby Bunnies!

Yesterday was a little busy, (being Father's Day and all :)) so I didn't get a chance to do the bunnies until the evening.  But when I did, I saw that Tasha had ripped out a bunch of fur.  She and Luna are both due on Tuesday, but Tasha had her babies last night!

When I counted last night, there were 5.  I haven't double counted again this morning, because I like to leave the babies alone the first few days so the mother doesn't worry herself about the different scents.

Then this morning, I decided to put Calypso in with Chuck for a breeding! They're both pretty rabbits, so they should have some cute babies :)

Then I also stuck Harley in with Oreo.  I wasn't planning on keeping Harley, but I figured I might as well get one litter from her since I've been paying to feed her and she's taking up a cage.  Hopefully she'll be better with this litter than with her last!

I'm thinking of breeding one more female today...I'm just not sure which one.  It will either be LE, Ruby, or Kayla.  I'm leaning towards Ruby...but we'll see :)

Selling Bunnies

I have been doing really well selling rabbits this month! Lots of interested on all my different postings.

This is one of my Lion Head males.   From my first batch of rabbits, all my Holland Lops and all my Lion Heads sold.  Then with this second batch, I've had lots of meat mixes and Lion Heads sell.

And the manure business is still going very well.  Currently it looks like we'll end up with a decent profit...well, decent considering, but still, not bad :)

I'm going to try really hard and start posting a lot again and really soon!  I'll go out tomorrow (as long as it doesn't rain) and get some shots of all the current litters.  Not to mention, Tasha and Luna are both pregnant and if I'm not mistaken, their due dates are coming up really soon!

Sprucing Up

I decided I need to change the growth in my rabbitry as far as the plants are concerned.  And so I went to a local nursery and got a few plants that are good in shady areas, as well as a few herbs that rabbits can eat :)

First off, here is my basil and creeping thyme that I got...

Then in the corner is a big bush! Not sure what type it is exactly, but it's supposed to be good in the shade :)  Then the small big of green more to the left in this picture is some Rosemary I got.

Going from left to right - top to bottom - we have: Pansies, Parsley, Parsley, Rosemary, Chocolate Mint, Garlic Chives, and then a purple bush that's good in the shade (I'm not sure what it's called :))

The two hanging pots have Pansies and Parsley, while on the ground you can see Rosemary, Chocolate Mint and in the back, a nice Bleeding Heart Bush my sister found and helped me transplant earlier this year.

Another purple plant with some Oregano underneath it :)

...and more Parsley.  I got a LOT of Parsley because rabbits can eat as much of it as they want and it cannot hurt them :)

Then in my hanging baskets, I currently have Marigolds in the two farthest away, then in the two closer ones, I have more Parsley :)

I took all my potted Marigolds and made a little table out of some old wood and two cinder blocks, which I then put them on.  Where they are, they'll be in the sun which will help keep them alive.  I like Marigolds because they keep the bugs away, but are safe for bunnies to eat :)

I think it looks pretty good, personally :)

Then as you can see, I still have some Parsley I need to find a place and plant it.

And in my sink, I have my water jugs, ready to fill up the bunnies bottles, then I have a basket in the corner.  It has hand sanitizer, then a spray bottle with water (blue), a spray bottle with Thieves diluted in water (pink), and lastly - olive oil and tea tree oil mixed together (green).

I hung up some hand towels I got a few months ago...

...using some 'U' like nails.  It's working really well so far! Before, they would fly off in the wind and get dirty, or just gather moisture when it rained.  But now they'll always be in the same place and will dry out shortly after a storm :)

I also used the nails on the side of my table...

...to help hold my mailbox full of supplies on! Now there's no chance of it falling/slipping off :)

Then yesterday I sold the 2 remaining Holland Lop males.  Only the 1 female remains :)

Sweet Dustin.  His fur is really pretty right now as he has undertones that are a tanish color :)

I'm supposed to be selling Benjamin this evening at 5:30, we'll see if the guy shows up.  But if he does, then this will be Benjamin's last day :)

Then here is Harley, the female I got from the woman who contacted me about taking her baby bunnies.  Harley is the mother of those babies.

However, I don't trust Harley and you can tell she doesn't trust me.  Therefore, I don't think I'll be keeping her very long.

My pansies which were in the sunlight this entire time since spring are still doing very well!

They make it look nice entering my rabbitry :)

Then here's the current view when you first walk into my rabbitry.

And I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but the whole path leading back to the rabbitry is mulched.  So I have been trying very hard to make the rabbitry look as nice as possible this year! And I do feel that I'm currently succeeding fairly well with that :)
