Sprucing Up

I decided I need to change the growth in my rabbitry as far as the plants are concerned.  And so I went to a local nursery and got a few plants that are good in shady areas, as well as a few herbs that rabbits can eat :)

First off, here is my basil and creeping thyme that I got...

Then in the corner is a big bush! Not sure what type it is exactly, but it's supposed to be good in the shade :)  Then the small big of green more to the left in this picture is some Rosemary I got.

Going from left to right - top to bottom - we have: Pansies, Parsley, Parsley, Rosemary, Chocolate Mint, Garlic Chives, and then a purple bush that's good in the shade (I'm not sure what it's called :))

The two hanging pots have Pansies and Parsley, while on the ground you can see Rosemary, Chocolate Mint and in the back, a nice Bleeding Heart Bush my sister found and helped me transplant earlier this year.

Another purple plant with some Oregano underneath it :)

...and more Parsley.  I got a LOT of Parsley because rabbits can eat as much of it as they want and it cannot hurt them :)

Then in my hanging baskets, I currently have Marigolds in the two farthest away, then in the two closer ones, I have more Parsley :)

I took all my potted Marigolds and made a little table out of some old wood and two cinder blocks, which I then put them on.  Where they are, they'll be in the sun which will help keep them alive.  I like Marigolds because they keep the bugs away, but are safe for bunnies to eat :)

I think it looks pretty good, personally :)

Then as you can see, I still have some Parsley I need to find a place and plant it.

And in my sink, I have my water jugs, ready to fill up the bunnies bottles, then I have a basket in the corner.  It has hand sanitizer, then a spray bottle with water (blue), a spray bottle with Thieves diluted in water (pink), and lastly - olive oil and tea tree oil mixed together (green).

I hung up some hand towels I got a few months ago...

...using some 'U' like nails.  It's working really well so far! Before, they would fly off in the wind and get dirty, or just gather moisture when it rained.  But now they'll always be in the same place and will dry out shortly after a storm :)

I also used the nails on the side of my table...

...to help hold my mailbox full of supplies on! Now there's no chance of it falling/slipping off :)

Then yesterday I sold the 2 remaining Holland Lop males.  Only the 1 female remains :)

Sweet Dustin.  His fur is really pretty right now as he has undertones that are a tanish color :)

I'm supposed to be selling Benjamin this evening at 5:30, we'll see if the guy shows up.  But if he does, then this will be Benjamin's last day :)

Then here is Harley, the female I got from the woman who contacted me about taking her baby bunnies.  Harley is the mother of those babies.

However, I don't trust Harley and you can tell she doesn't trust me.  Therefore, I don't think I'll be keeping her very long.

My pansies which were in the sunlight this entire time since spring are still doing very well!

They make it look nice entering my rabbitry :)

Then here's the current view when you first walk into my rabbitry.

And I'm not sure if you can tell or not, but the whole path leading back to the rabbitry is mulched.  So I have been trying very hard to make the rabbitry look as nice as possible this year! And I do feel that I'm currently succeeding fairly well with that :)
