All the Litters

I haven't posted for a few days because the camera I usually use to take pictures with seems to have died.  Plus, the laptop I use to import the pictures has stopped working.  So...I finally broke down and decided to use one of our old cameras.  It's definitely not as good, in any way, but it's better than nothing.

So first off, here's Tasha's litter, which she had the other week :)

There are 5 and I'm SOOO happy they're all doing well!! I want to keep a female, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that at least 1 of these 5 will be female! I've found my male Phantom seems to throw lots of males, and he's the sire of this litter.  But I'm going to be optimistic and hope for the best :)  And I love their spots!!

Then Nickel had a litter of 7, all of which are still alive, healthy, and doing very well!

She's doing awesome for her first time!

And they're all so cute! She had hers same time as Tasha's litter.  Valentine and Shira both never gave birth.  I guess they'll have to be bred again.

And just this morning, my first-time mom Jetta gave birth to 9 beautiful babies!!!

They're underneath the fur.  I counted them early this morning, then covered them back up.  I won't be touching them again until day 10 or if one is in need of urgent care.  Until then, it's up to Jetta to keep them warm, fed, and well :)

Then Pumpkin's litter is growing like crazy!!!

Their eyes and ears are open, and while they're not leaving their nest yet, they're definitely getting more curious each day :) All 7 are so cute!

Ruby still has her 8, and they're adorable :)

I didn't push back the fur to take pictures, because it was raining, and I didn't want the fur to stick all over my hands.  But they're definitely well, happy and have their eyes and ears open as well :)

Then here's New Girl's litter!

I moved them from their hutch.  They're now in a hanging cage, with a huge nesting-box to sleep in and cuddle :)

New Girl's an awesome mother!

And last but not least, Luna's litter!

Their ears are still upright, but starting to show signs of the flop in the near future :)

Like with New Girl's litter, I moved Luna's litter from their hutch, into one of the hanging cages.  They also have a large nesting-box to sleep in :)

They're so cute!

Only one little baby was running around with it's mom...and started nursing :)

So you can see it's grey/white feet sticking up in the air as it grabs a bit to eat! :)

They're all so adorable, and I'm so glad there haven't been any issues with the mothers.  On a side note, I bred Cora with Gorman this past Monday.  Hopefully this time she'll have a litter!

Luna n' New Girl

Both of my females, Luna and New Girl are doing very well! They have good appetites, are a healthy weight, and have been very good about letting me hold their babies the past few days :)

Here's Luna's litter.  All 8 are doing great! I cannot wait for their ears to start lopping :)

And here's New Girl's litter, growing like weeds! She keeps them very well fed :)

And almost all of the babies from both litters have their eyes open.  It won't be long until they can go into one of the wire cages with a nesting box, opening the hutches up for expecting females.

4 Day Old Bunnies

Today, Pumpkin's litter is 4 days old :)

And all 7 are doing very well!

Healthy, happy, and very adorable!

She has white, black, brown, brownish/grey/black, and then a tanish/caramel mixed colored one.

They are all so cute :)

This isn't her first litter, but I'm still happy with how well Pumpkin's doing with her litter. She's an awesome mom.  And all of her babies look beautiful! She's definitely keeping them all well fed :)

5 Day Old Bunnies

Ruby's litter is doing really well! I was able to check in on them today and get some pictures.  Unfortunately, one appears to have passed away a day or two ago.  Leaving Ruby with a litter of 8.

The baby that passed had no fur, so it that's how I know it's been gone a few days.  But it's odd, because you could tell it had a full stomach, and no bodily harm. So Ruby clearly didn't kill it. It's just very unusual.

However, all the others are doing very well!

And when I last saw them, the day they were born, you could only see the spots on the black/white spotted baby.  But with their fur coming in, Ruby also has 2 orange/white spotted babies!

They're all really cute :)

A few all black bunnies and a few all white :)

But I just really love those orange/white babies! They are just the cutest! :)

:)

Bull did a very good job as the sire :)

So all is well with Ruby.  Her appetite is good and so is her weight.  And with this heat, the babies are all very happy as well :)

Planting

So yesterday I finally managed to get some flowers to put around my rabbitry.

I put some in with my herbs in the front of my sink/bench.

I think it looks really nice.  Very cheery and fresh!

And I was able to plant in all 4 hanging baskets.

Along with some pots on the side of the chicken coop :)

And then I have parsley in 3 of the 4 containers hanging off posts along the rabbit cages.  One container has flowers.

So while this isn't a big change, it's definitely going to improve the look.  It already appears more inviting and looks nicer.  Watering all the plants each day does add extra time, but it's worth it to add some natural color back into my rabbitry :)

Mother and Babies

I got some (which I believe) to be the CUTEST pictures of bunnies I've ever managed to get! :)

I happened to notice how Luna was sitting, as though looking into the hutch, at her sleeping babies :)

And in the other hutch, New Girl was doing the exact same thing!

It was SO cute!!!

Here they are, side by side, doing the exact same thing :)

Then this caught my eye...so I took a closer picture...

...and saw this little one sleeping on it's back, all feet in the air!

And well, the reason all the babies were so close to the door, was because of how hot it was! In the shade, it was close to 80 degrees!!!

If this heat continues, I may have to bring out the fans again like I did last summer.
