Breeding Bunnies

So, these past few weeks I've been breeding between Monday, Tuesdays, and even Wednesdays! Simple because the weather has been crazy! So even though it was a rainy gross day today, it was in the sixties! So in an attempt to stick with my Monday schedule, I bred some bunnies.

So, pictured above is Bruce, my Mini Lop male.  Below is pictured Ragnara, my English Lop female.  I tried breeding these two together, but Bruce never really did it.  Ragnara had him chasing her so much, he wore out waaaay before she ever lost energy.  So...I'm going to try again with these two tomorrow.  Hopefully it will go better then.

Then here's Dustin, my Rex/New Zealand/Californian mixed male.

I bred him with Saffron, my Satin/Giant Flemish/Rex/New Zealand/Californian mixed female.  He did an awesome job with the breeding, so I'd be shocked if she doesn't have a litter in 32 days! I'm excited to see the coloring they will get :)

Then I put Cupcake, my Holland Lop female in with Gorman, my BEW Holland Lop male :)

Gorman, like Dustin, did an amazing job! Last breeding he did with Luna and he was a little slow/unsure.  But this time with Cupcake, he got right to work.  No dilly dallying :)

Cupcake's been wanting this for  months now...so she was happy to sit still for him :)

Then lastly, I put Dotty, my Satin/Giant Flemish/Rex/Californian/New Zealand female (and also Aunt of Saffron) in with Oreo, my Satin male.

I bred these two the last time I bred Dotty.

So, I know these two create beautiful, delicate orange spotted babies...beyond adorable!!!

I'm super excited to have some more with that coloring.  I've always had a weakness for caramel colored bunnies and spotted bunnies...and to put those things together is wonderful! :)

They're both beautiful bunnies themselves, too :)

:)

So there you go! The next batch has been bred.  The only females I have left are my 2 Velveteen Lops (Lily and Lilac), Buttons, my brother's Lop - Harriet, and now Kayla, since she's not pregnant and not raising a litter.

Anyway, I have other females, but they're currently too young.  I'm excited though with bringing in their new color variations!
