I'm so excited because Luna, my Mini Lop female, just gave birth - and I mean, JUST! So I ran back and grabbed the camera :)
So first off...a few photo's of the first-time father :)
I'm really proud of Gorman! He's my beautiful blue-eyed-white Holland Lop. I LOVE his coloring, but I wasn't sure how well he'd do breeding. Looks like he did just fine :) I'm so proud of him!
So I went running out just to check...and I saw this...
The red immediately caught my eye! I looked at it closer to see if it was the placenta...and it was!
I then got some dandelions, strawberry leaves, and 2 yogie treats for Luna to give her some energy after giving birth :)
She's so cute :)
Then I opened up the hutch.
A beautiful pile of fur that Luna had just pulled.
And right underneath the fur...8 beautiful babies!!!
They all look like they'll be some form of multicolored.
They're just so adorable! I'm so glad to finally have another litter of babies. I just love watching them grow and holding them and everything. I really missed not having any bunnies growing up over the winter. Although, with it being so much warmer now, their survival chances go WAAAAY up!
And then New Girl was really busy ripping out more fur to add to her nest...so I'm thinking she's getting close to having her litter too :)
She's adorable :)
The entrance to the bunny hole!
Look at all that fur!
And here's Kayla, busy gathering more hay in her mouth to arrange it just right for her nest :)
:)
As you can see, everything's going very well back there! And hopefully either later this evening or tomorrow morning sometime there will be more babies to get pictures of :)
