Breeding

So yesterday I bred 3 more sets of bunnies.  I missed Monday because it was raining...and I was sick.  I still have a cold, but I didn't want to go off schedule too much, so with the help of my brother, 3 more bunnies were bred yesterday :)

So, I bred my Mini Lop male, Bruce with my Mini Lop female, Bonnie.

I was a little worried how Bonnie would do, since she's a moody bunny.  I didn't want her to attack.  That's why I put her in with Bruce, because he's a good breeder and I felt he would be able to control her better than any of my other Lop males.  And well, they both did great! She laid right down for him and he got right to work :)

And Phantom.  Since Piccolo passed away, he's been my only Lion Head breeder for my females.  I'm raising up Flynn, but he's still too young to breed.  Although luckily Phantom's a good breeder and hasn't minded the extra amount of breeding.  Besides, the most he's breeding is once a week, which is definitely safe and healthy.  He could do a lot more, but I'm happy with this pace for now.

So I had Phantom, my Lion Head male breed with Kizzy, my Mini Lion Head female.

This is the first time I've bred them together.  I always bred Kizzy with Piccolo, so they had adorably small babies.  But, with him gone, Phantom's the only option.  I'm actually really excited to see the color variations I'll get from their offspring, especially since Phantom has such beautiful blue eyes!

:)

Then last but NOT least...I bred Dustin, my Rex/Californian/New Zealand mixed male with Dadooshka, my Giant Chinchilla/Giant Flemish/Satin mixed female.

So together, their babies will be large (because of Dadooshka) and meaty (because of Dustin).

The last litter Dadooshka had, Dustin was the sire.

She always has nice sized litters, and Dustin always seems to produce nice sized litters as well.

So together, Dadooshka and Dustin make an awesome duo!
