She's so cute :)
Oh, then crazy breeding story from this past Monday...so I mentioned a post or so ago that I was selling my Lion Head GG and my male Achilles to some friends of ours. Well, I did. And while they came to get some new bunnies, they also brought their current female (named Rosa), to be bred.
They've tried breeding their female a few times now. The first time, she had a litter, but they all died. Since then, she's refused every single male. They've tried breeding her a few times, waited the 32 days, only to find no babies.
So they brought this female over and I honestly thought it would be an hour worth to get her bred by one male. Was I ever wrong! Instead, it took 3 and 1/2 hours, and FOUR males to get the job done!!!
I put her in with my Lop Bruce and one point to see if he could get the job done. But since he's a Lop and she isn't, and he's only ever bred with Lops, her up-straight ears confused him. He couldn't focus on breeding and instead spent his time with her biting her ears and trying to hold them down, in a Lop position. Well, she quickly left his cage.
Oreo was the last one I tried her with, but by the time she was willing to breed, she had worn him out :)
So in the end, my male Dustin was able to successfully breed her once...
...along with Chuck, who managed to breed her 1 successful time as well :)
And I've begun doing a little decorating back in my rabbitry.
I found plastic bows and little scarecrows at our local dollar store :)
I'm hoping to get some Mums and bring out my other decorations from last year in the near future :)
Also, I might get some pumpkins to help add a pop of color :)
And lastly, I've got a few cages up for sale. It will be interesting to see how they sell, as I normally don't sell cages.
I have 1 square one up and 2 rectangle ones up.
:)
