Lion Head Females

It's been quite some time since I've 'updated' to show you the current breeds I have.  More specifically, this post contains all my female breeders in the Lion Head category.

First up, one of my very first Lion Heads ever - Kayla.  She's a beautiful Black/White Double-Maned female.  She's had multiple litters - always an amazing mother and has on more than one occasion, fostered additional babies as well.  She's a few years old. She likes to be left to herself, however is extremely sweet, easy-going and very patient.

This is one of my newer Lion Heads - Hera.  Her coloring is more of a Black/Grey spots on White. She's also Double-Maned, but hasn't had any litters yet.  She's around 8-9 months old.   She seems very out-going, friendly and social.  I think she'll do well as a mother.

Then here's Kizzy, more of a Single Maned Lion Head.  She's a Grey/Blue coloring.  Very skittish, but an awesome mother! Always does really well raising her babies and has even fostered up other babies.  She's a couple years old.

Her babies are always on the smaller side as she is rather petite.  Even though her mane isn't very big, her babies always have beautiful Double-Mane coats.

Then here's Tasha, one of my personal favorites! She's a Double Maned Lion Head, Tort colored female.

She's a few years old now, had many litters and has always done really well raising all up.

All of her babies have gorgeous, thick, double maned coats.

She's beyond shy, but extremely sweet.  She actually almost died last summer, puncturing her chest on a rusty wire, ended up with a gaping hole within 2 days.  I thought we were going to lose her.  Determined to save her as she was nursing six 3 week old babies, I fed her a mix of medicinal herbs, completely healing her within a week.

Then this is Misty - my Single Maned Lion Head female of Magpie coloring and beautiful blue eyes.

She's only had one litter so far, but has been a very good mother to them all.  Very patient, sweet, and social.  Luckily, all of her babies seem to take after her temperament.  And almost all of them have blue eyes as well! She's around a year old.

And last but not least, Neptune! She's a beautiful smokey colored Double Maned female.  She's around a year and currently is raising her first litter up.  So far, she's doing an awesome job and seems to be a very attentive mother.  Although she is a little skittish, she's very sweet and once you're holding her, loves to settle down and sleep.

These are my current Lion Head females.  However, I'm raising quite a few up as we speak! I'm seriously contemplating slowly fading out of raising Lops, and focusing mainly on Lion Heads.  However, only time will tell if this actually will occur or not.
