So this month...our sweet female Parti Poodle, Annie gave birth to 7 puppies!!! :) Last year, for her first litter, we started a blog just for the puppies. And this year, since it's the same father (Sir Cazidor, the chocolate Labrador), we've been doing some posts and lots of pictures again on that with all the puppies!
Here's the link if you'd like to check that out: http://lovethosepuppies.blogspot.com/
On that blog, we don't mention the seventh puppy, because he only lived for 12 hours. The seventh puppy was a light brown male, curly haired and we named him Moose. He was born about 4 hours after his sack came out.
Because of that, he had a lot of fluid in his lungs. We did our best to suck out all the liquid, but I think he had inhaled too much and had been inside Annie for too long without his sack. He was to weak to nurse, but nursing was the only way to get him the nutrients to help strengthen him. The longer he waited to nurse, the weaker he became. It was a domino affect. And so our sweet Moose past away, 12 hours after birth.
However, all the others are doing really well! We're so happy with how well Annie has been tending them all. She's a very attentive mother :)
So be sure and check out the link! There are currently lots of pictures, with lots more to come!! :)

Basement Bunnies
Because of their ear length and the fact that these particular rabbits don't know how to drink from water bottles...the Velveteen's and the English Lop will all be spending winter in our basement.
Their ears, being so long tend to get wet quite often as they walk past their water bowls, etc. And with winter, I would hate for any one of them to end up getting frozen, then frostbitten ears.
So here they are, in our basement and happy as can be :)
First up is Lilly...
First up is Lilly...
As you'll be able to tell by the amount of pictures I have of her...she LOVES to explore and is constantly on the move. That's perfectly fine, but it does make picture taking a definite challenge.
She's my blue bunny :)
As you can tell...she loves to move :)
I think all bunnies look so cute when they stand up on their hind legs :)
After taking pictures, getting her more food and water, she did this...and just stared at me. She's beyond sweet...after this post I'm going to go back down and hold her for a little bit :)
Then here's my Opal colored bunny :)
And well...with a coloring like that, I just had to name her Opal :)
And she's just so sweet! Beautiful coloring too :)
Then this is my lilac colored bunny whom I named Lilac :)
As you can probably tell...she was trying to get some rest and just sleep a little bit :)
She's an exceptionally sweet bunny though. Although I must say, even though she's sister's from the same litter as Lilly, she has a totally different personality! Lilly loves to be on the move, while Lilac enjoys just hanging out :)
And then we have my English Lop, Ragnara :)
She, like Lilly, LOVES to be on the go!
I love her coloring too...she's a very big and very beautiful bunny :)
And since her miscarriage, she isn't as big as I'd like her to be, but she's keeping her weight on and slowing gaining more each week :) I'm so pleased with her strong will and nice recovery!
Even though she's always happy to run around and explore, she's just as happy to settle down in your lap and cuddle for HOURS. She's just a really great bunny :)
And those are the bunnies in the basement! I'll probably end up bring my Velveteen male Francis as well. Probably not Brody though, because he uses a water bottle, not a bowl. I'm not entirely sure yet. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it goes!
Happy Bunnies
It feels like forever since I've done a post! So yesterday, while feeding all the bunnies, I took out my sister's camera and got a few pictures for you all :)
So here's Tasha's litter. She currently has 2 boys and 2 girls left. The 2 boys will be sold this morning...then I'm supposed to be meeting something tomorrow who's going to get the 2 girls :)
All of their mane's are coming in beautifully!
So fluffy :)
And here you can see they're doing the 'bunny pile-up' :)
Then Valentine only has her 2 little bunnies. One girl and 1 boy :)
Both of their markings/coloring is beautiful!
Especially the grey/white boy...he's so cute :)
Now, with that coloring I'd keep him in a heartbeat if he was a girl. Sadly though, he's a boy.
But for the lucky person that gets him, I'm sure they'll love him as much as I do :)
Then here are a few shots of my rabbitry, in it's current state.
Here's my Luna :)
She only has 1 baby left and it's a little boy :)
Then these decorations have held up nicely :)
And all but the one hutch has nice, rubber roofing which will greatly help this winter!
I'm hoping to soon de-decorate from fall and decorate it all up for Christmas, before it's too cold.
Then here's Dadooshka and her litter. A few were sold...these are the ones who are still looking for homes :)
They all have beautiful coats on them.
And they have the sweetest disposition :)
I love their long faces!
Here's Dadooshka :)
It was hard getting any clear shots with so many bunnies all moving in different directions.
Then here's the new girl and her litter.
A large bunny nose :)
They're all doing really well!
And I love their colors! I'd love to keep the 2 females from this litter...but I know I cannot keep adding to the amount I'm taking through winter.
They're all so cute though :)
Then here's Pumpkin :)
And LE...who's mouth looks weird in this shot, but that's just because she was chewing while I was taking the picture :)
And Pocahontas...
...and Ruby with her daughter...who I'm now thinking of putting up for sale instead of keeping.
Button's and her daughter.
Button's daughter is nicer than Ruby's...so I might keep Button's daughter and sell Ruby's. We shall see.
Then here's Cupcake and her remaining 2 :)
She's such a hog for attention, she's so funny :)
The darker female my brother's keeping. So just the spotted one is left to find a home :)
They both are truly lovely bunnies. Very healthy and nicely structured.
Then here's my Dustin :)
And Cottontail...
...and another picture of New Girl with her bunnies :)
Then here's Ebony...she had 4 babies and killed them all off. She's going up for sale.
And my sweet Chuck :)
And here's Bull. I love his markings and temperament...but I have too many males.
So sadly, I'll be putting him up for sale as well.
And here's Bruce.
And my dear, little Piccolo :)
And my Brody!
I just cannot get over how well he's done for me!
For those of you who don't know or forget, I got him for free because he wasn't thriving.
When I picked him up that first day, you could feel and see literally every single bone in his entire body. His fur was gross and choppy, and was extremely sickly. As you can see by these pictures, he's unbelievable healthy now! His fur is gorgeous and his bones no longer show. He's gained lots of weight and is a true joy to me :) A good reminder that all things are possible with God.
And my lovely Saffron :)
And from left to right, Shira, Nickle, and Cora.
Shira and Nickle are half sisters. Achilles was father of them both. But Shira's mother is Dotty and Nickle's mother is Cottontail.
Then Cora's the daughter of Cupcake and Benjamin.
Then lastly, I took new pictures of Kayla's albino boy and stuck him on craigslist again.
He's well behaved and does insanely well sitting still...would make an incredible show bunny! Hopefully someone else will see his potential :)
So as you can see...I definitely didn't take pictures of all my bunnies...but I did get a fair amount :) The problem is the computer that uploads pictures is dying. It won't shut down anymore and it works so slowly. Hopefully it will last a little longer...just in time for us to get a new one this Black Friday.
