As I'm sure you all know by now, there are many different breeds of rabbits and even following one group of bunnies, within that group their are multiple choices.
After you've picked the sex/color/age you what your bunny to be, you also need to have picked out a specific breed. Or maybe not. Maybe you'll just look at all options and pick the one you happen to think is cutest. That way works as well :)
But more importantly then that, is knowing the right time to buy a rabbit. What I mean by that is the time when you have the most options to choose from at the cheapest prices.
No one wants to carry lots of rabbit over winter, but many people have also grown too attached to their bunnies to harvest them. Because of this, you'll see the most amount of rabbits for sale around this time...when it's starting to get cold and reality is hitting most breeders that it's too much work to care for so many animals when it's so chilly out.
Not only that, but they want to get rid of them quickly. It's now November and they don't have time to waste waiting for a large price. So what do most breeders do? They put their rabbits up for sale at very low prices. So my advice to anyone who's been looking to get a bunny or wants to get one...get it NOW! Now is one of the best times. As the old saying goes "Strike while the iron is hot" and so if you want to get a cheap bunny, start looking now :)
