A lot happened to nicely wrap up the end of this past month. I finished it with my birthday, then to start off this month, I went out to find that Peanuts (my Giant Rex female) had given birth to eight beautiful baby bunnies!
Above is a picture I had taken before of Peanuts. I didn't have time to take care of my rabbits after church before it started snowing, which is why I didn't get any pictures of the babies, I didn't want them becoming too cold.
Hopefully though I'll be able to get some tomorrow! There are three tan babies, four black, and then a black one with a light belly.
Weather permitting, I'll be buying a five month old, Tort colored, Lionhead female along with four cages. I'm confident that the cages will work very well. Even though they're smaller than my current cages, I can use them for my smaller bunnies, like the Holland Lops and my Lionheads.
My fodder's been going great! The rabbits love it. Most of them eat the entire thing, grassy top, roots and seeds. However, I do have a few picky bunnies who will only eat the grassy top. Either way, it's definitely helping out with the amount of feed they're going through.
Both of my new Holland Lop females, Valentine and Smokey; seem to be adjusting well. They were a little thin when I got them, but they've been eating and drinking plenty now and seem much more content. When I was out today, they were sitting together and Valentine had her head on Smokey's. They're so cute!
Anyway, that's what's up with my bunnies. I'll do my best to get some pictures of the new rabbit and cages if the weather allows me to pick them up and I'll also try to get some shots of Peanuts and her babies. :)
