Felix

Felix had been a really sweet bunny when he was with his siblings.  Then when I put him in his own cage, he started becoming very aggressive. 

 

So I started holding him, trying to calm him down and make him relax.  However, it didn't work.  He just became more and more aggressive.  And with my sister watching the bunnies starting tomorrow because I won't be here, I didn't want her to have to deal with that.

I also didn't want to sell him to someone and have him bite them.  So yesterday was his last day here.  I went to fill up his water dish, and he attacked the watering container and long story short...my hands were covered in my own blood by the time it was over. 

He scrapped up both my hands with his back feet and I just barely got away without any of his teeth marks on my hands too.  We quickly and humanly put him down.  However, his meat wasn't wasted as he provided our dogs with dinner that night. 

Moving onto happier subjects.  I can now clean out his cage and put Smokey (the Holland Lop female) into it.  It will be good, because she and Valentine are too old to be together and they didn't seem happy sharing their space. 

Anyway, when I go out later I'm hoping to get some pictures and have another posting up before we leave tomorrow morning! :)
