Bunny Stuff

So...yesterday I went out to take care of my rabbits.  I'll be going to TN this Thursday and won't be coming back until Tuesday.  So I was showing my older sister where all the rabbits are and everything like that.

Well, she asked me what was wrong with the baby bunny on the wire.  I looked and there was a baby bunny frozen to the wire with it's head stuck in a hole.

It took me a few minutes to get it's cold body unstuck and out of there, only to find another baby a few feet away from the hutch in the snow on the ground.

So I completely moved Peanuts along with the remaining 6 babies into the hutch that Buttons, Dotty, and Arrow had been in and put those three in Peanuts hutch.

This will be better for Peanuts though, because she'll have more room to move around in the hutch and take care of her babies.

(Arrow's on the inside of the hutch :))

Buttons, Dotty, and Arrow all seem to be enjoying their new hutch just fine.

And the babies are sooo cute!!!  Their fur's starting to come in and you can see their coloring much better.  Some will look just like Peanuts :)

I took a photo of the rabbitry so you can see how it's currently all set up with the three hutches and everything...

Walking up to the rabbitry this is what it looks like...

Then above are the three hutches, which hold (from left to right) MJ, Buttons, Dotty, Arrow, Valentine, and Smokey.

Then all my old wire cages are still the same...

Then against the back of the chicken coop is where Achilles and Felix are located.  And speaking of Felix, I feel I have too many males back there, so he's been put up for sale!

And then, just because I can, I took a few photo's of different bunnies at random :)

Valentine and Smokey, my newest lop females! :)

Then I cannot remember if I told you or not, but I named my newest lionhead female Kizzy.  I think I'll breed her with Piccolo next month.

Then I put Malaguena in her own cage.  She's doing very well and is much more social now.

Achilles...so cute :)

And here's Bruce, he's a really good boy. :)

Little Piccolo...he's so adorable.  Pocket size he definitely is!

Eleanor's a real sweet heart.  She's a very good girl.  Just happy doing her own thing :)

Side shot but you can see Smokey, Valentine, Arrow and Dotty.  They're all good girls.  And all very pretty.  It will be neat seeing the coloration of their babies this spring!

So anyway, my plan is to begin breeding my bunnies this March (only 1 month away!!) and I'm really looking forward to it!  I just love baby bunnies and seeing all the different color furs you get when you breed different rabbits together.  It's always fun too.  :)
