Delayed Labor

Yesterday I went out to find Dotty and thrown one of her babies into her empty water dish outside her hutch.  Thank goodness I went out early, because the baby was still warm and so I quickly got it out of there and put it under my shirt to help heat it up. 

I took some of the fur from Valentine's nest and rubbed the baby all over with it, then stuck the baby in with Valentine's four.  She didn't reject it, so I'm very happy with that!

This morning I went out and there was one of LE's babies and it was frozen to the wire inside of Tasha's section.  It must have either crawled out or LE threw it out and it somehow went through a hole into Tasha's section.  Surprisingly, you can tell Tasha didn't kill it.  It died purely from the cold.

And lastly, Cupcake and Dadooshka have not yet had their babies.  Their time is running out and if they don't have them by tomorrow morning, all their babies will be still born.  Because of this, I went out this morning and gave them both some strawberry leaves and lavender.  The strawberry will help with a smooth delivery and hopefully no stillborn babies.  The lavender will induce labor.

I'm really hoping they'll have their babies sometime today...even if it's late this evening.  They just really need to have them while it's still safe for both themselves and their litters.
