Bunnies!

So I didn't get a chance to take pictures...however this is what has currently been going on.

Today I had to put Kayla, Harley, and Calypso in with nesting boxes because they're due to have their litters on Friday.

I also didn't get a chance last week to go to the livestock auction, even though I really wanted to.  So I still have Kris, Kringle, Sprinkles, MJ and 8 roosters.

Anyway, I'm really hoping to go tomorrow.  Even if I don't get a lot for them, I really don't mind.  I'm more interested in seeing how much rabbits will go for at this place and if it's not bad, I might be taking more rabbits up in the near future!

Then after putting Kayla, Harley and Calypso in with nesting boxes (hutches), I decided not to brake my rhythm and have another 3 females bred.  So I put Kizzy in with Piccolo, GG in with Phantom and Peanuts in with Oreo.  

This means every week I'll be having 3 new litters until the end of August (currently).  I'm pretty excited about it.  Plus, the warm weather will soon be fading by the time these babies will be old enough to sell.  I have to get the breeding in while I can because I really hate winter breeding and don't intend on doing ANY of that.

Now lastly, the reason I put an old picture of my favorite bunny Rhett is because I'm definitely keeping his largest male that looks JUST LIKE HIM! I think it's adorable! I'm calling him "Junior".  Ever since I put Rhett down I've really regretted it.  He was definitely my favorite male and I always called him my "Gentle Giant" because he was just so sweet! But since he's gone, there's nothing I can do but raise up his biggest/healthiest son to carry on his genes :)  I'm really hoping that when his son molts, he'll go between chocolate brown and black like Rhett did.  Only time will tell!
