New Bunnies

I put an ad up on craigslist saying I'd take any unwanted bunnies.  I said I'd take any, but would prefer Lion Heads, Lops, and Dwarf rabbits.  Because of that post, I just got 2 new male Lion Head rabbits, both about a year and a half old.  They're a pretty brown color.

You can tell they aren't purebreds as they're really BIG for their breed.  I'm guessing they're more like a mix Lion Head and Giant Flemish.  Either way, they are extremely sweet and love to be held!

I took some pictures of them...

I checked them and they're both definitely males.  

This is the first male, apparently they're brothers.  I guess the biggest reason the lady didn't want them anymore was because they were in a cage together and were fighting over the territory.  

Here's the second male...

He's a little bit smaller than the other one, but still big for a Lion Head. 

She was extremely nice and even gave me a big dog cage, water bottles, timothy hay and some bedding for them.  

I'm not planning on keeping them terribly long.  I'm hoping to take them to a nearby farm stock auction.  But for the time being, I think I'll call them Kris and Kringle.  Why? Because they just remind me of a bushy-bearded, jolly old men :)
