New N' Cute Rabbits!

Saturday evening I got an email from a woman trying to get rid of an unexpected litter she had.  There were a total of 13, she told me.  So I met her on Sunday.  She couldn't catch them all, but I still got 11, which was huge :)

They're all extremely sweet...and tiny!

This little brown one ran over to the side and went to sleep.  So cute :)

She brought them in this big tube, so they were all a little wet with urine.

They really enjoyed being outside in the shade though as they were really hot in that tube.

I asked her what breed they were and the lady said, "The dad is smaller than a rabbit you'd see in your yard, but the mom is bigger than a rabbit you'd see in your yard"

So basically, she didn't know.  She thought both her rabbits were females until she ended up with a litter.  She said they were 8 weeks old, but they're all REALLY small.

So, I'm thinking the dad was definitely a Dwarf of some kind.  And well, she said the mother gave birth to 14, so she's probably at least a medium sized rabbit if not a Giant of some kind to have such a huge litter.

But either way, I'm keeping 2 of the brown/white spotted females.  They're just too cute!

I figured instead of putting them in a cage, just to leave them in the run.

So I gave them a water dish, a water bottle, some food and an old - homemade tidy cat hut for them to sleep in if they wanted too.

And I checked on them multiple times yesterday to make sure none of them were digging.  Luckily, they weren't :)

They like the hut :)

So yes, all in all, a great day :)

I ended up with 3 brown bunnies, 4 black, 1 black/white, and 3 brown/white.
I have 5 females and 6 males.  All of them are so tiny and adorable!

I'm really excited with this bunch.  You can tell they've been held quite a bit! I'll give them a few day before putting them up for sale, I also want to see how much they grow within the next week. :)
