Which came first, the chicken or the egg???
This old question has always been a favorite for people to stump one another on.
It always seems to be an interesting experience listening to different opinions of people and why they think a certain one came first.
Well, here is my answer to this question...
The Bible's first book is Genesis. Inside of Genesis we read all about how God created the world in a course of seven days.
There's a chant about the seven days of creation which goes like this: Day 1 - Day and Night. Day 2 - Heaven and Earth. Day 3 - Seas and Land. Day 4 - Sun, Moon, and Stars. Day 5 - Creatures of the Land and of the Sea. Day 6 - Creatures of Dry Land and then came Man....
Then there's the ending to this chant about how God rested on the 7th day, but I'm sure you get the general gist of it.
When God created man of the sixth day, He created a full grown man. Not a child, but an adult. When God created the earth on day two, He created an aged earth. When God created the land creatures, sea creatures, and sky creatures, He created them as mature creatures so they would be ready to multiply!
With all this in mind, it only stands to reason that God created a mature chicken BEFORE He created the egg. So my answer to this question would have to be the chicken came before the egg.
