Secondly, the puppies are getting bigger than every! They are absolutely adorable. Once again, you can see all the recent photo's of them by clicking this link: http://lovethosepuppies.blogspot.com/
Now to the bunnies. It's actually been really hot these past few days. Yesterday I went to give the bunnies on the porch some water only to notice the caramel colored one didn't look the best. I got him out of there and realized very quickly he was too hot.
The blanket which is on top of the crib to keep flies away and also keep them from jumping out was holding in a LOT of heat. So with one of the extra outdoor cages we had, I let them run around in the grass for the rest of the day.
This blanket keeps the flies away from the bunnies as well as keeps them from jumping out |
Luckily, the caramel colored bunny is perfectly fine. And one of my lion heads actually was part of a petting zoo for a church picnic yesterday. I'll be getting him back shortly.
The 'porch bunnies' in their outside hutch and the blue on the side is a towel giving them a nice splotch of shade |
So tired :) |
Buttons' is doing a wonderful job with her litter! They're so cute and have all opened their eyes up. I absolutely love the brown and white ones...I'm really hoping that at least ONE of them is a girl! Especially after my adorable spotted lion head turned out to be a male.
They're getting so active! |
Hopefully this one's a female! |
This one looks like Nutmeg did as a baby... |
This one's eyes are still a little more closed than the others. |
Then thing 1... |
...and thing two! :) |
Buttons...eating a leaf. |
Which brings me to my next thing...since I lost Olivia, my other Lion Head female, I'm going to keep her daughter who actually is one of the bunnies on the porch. She has blue eyes like Phantom (her dad) and is very sweet.
You can see her eyes are blue here... |
So yes, all my rabbits are doing very well! And with the puppies, school, etc...I haven't been able to do a really good clean up in my rabbitry lately. So yesterday after I had fed and watered them all, I got rid of a bunch of the webs that were out there and some trash would had been left out there, etc.
Hopefully today I'll be able to complete my cleaning and get everything back in order! Oreo and Phantom have both been molting, so there is fur everywhere back there! I cleaned a lot of it up yesterday, but it's a constant.
Anyway, that's what has been going on with the bunnies. Oh, and phantom actually bred a neighbor's rabbit so we'll see if she has babies or not and my male Caramel who I sold a few months back is supposedly going to have another litter, which is good.
You have to get these few litters in before the winter months strike!
