Crazy Groundhog Story

So my mom and I went to pick up a play toy for Cutter before he left so he would have something to play with in his new home.

On our way to the store, we saw this groundhog run out into the middle of the road a little bit ahead of us.

We immediately slow down the car so as not to hit him...

Next thing we know, he turns and heads directly towards our car!

We look behind us and to the sides...he was nowhere to be seen.

All I know is that my mom looked at me and went, "He's UNDER the car!!!"

We kept stopping whenever we could for a few moments in hopes that he would get out from under our car while also hoping he wouldn't go up into the engine section.

We got to the store and my mom said, "Do you have flip flops on?"

"No."

"Well I DO!" My mom was laughing as she got out of the car, leaping as far away from the side of it as possible.

We both joked about how this probably never happens to anyone else. :)

We got down on the ground and looked under the car.  We weren't sure if he left by the time we came back out of the store, but hopefully he did!

In any case, the car was able to start and we drove back home without any issues.
