Due

My female Lop, Cora is due tomorrow for her first litter! I'm hoping she'll have them this evening...maybe even while I'm out there so I can see them being born.  It's always really special and neat when that happens :)

But today she's continued adding to her nest.

And just like with all my other females when they're due, I've been feeding her strawberry leaves every day this week.  For those of you who didn't know, strawberry leaves actually help prevent miscarriages in rabbits. 

Hopefully her litter, no matter how big or small, will be healthy.  I know they'll be warm enough in this heat :) But it's always a toss up as to how a female will do with her very first litter.  Especially since she's the only one due, I don't have another female to give her babies too if she doesn't tend them.
