I took some pictures of the bunnies who are due this weekend, and have no begun nesting. Some have been busier than others, but all 3 of the females seem to have begun to some extent.
Above, Bonnie, standing above her 'nest'. It's not much, but she actually had more to it a few days ago, then took it all outside where it was damp, and fell through the wire.
Below is a picture of Kizzy's nest.
She's actually ripped out a fair bit of fur! She hasn't had many litters, but she's an awesome mother, very attentive and keeps her babies fed well. I've never bred her with Phantom before. She used to always breed with Piccolo. So the color combinations are most likely going to be different. Every time she bred with Piccolo, she'd have grey, brown, and black babies. It will be neat seeing the colors she'll have with Phantom as the sire :)
Then here's Dadooshka's nest. She began ripping fur out just the other day. So I put her into a hutch, where she continued to pull out fur. So, her nest is looking very nice :)
She did seem to get into a fight with one of the other females, seeing how her lip on the right side is ripped up and bloody. She's still eating, which is really good! That's the key, to make sure the cut doesn't get dirty or infected. If she still eats, it's not too painful. I've been giving her lots of dandelions to help fight off infection and heal her lip up soon.
So there they are. My three females who are due this weekend. Hopefully they'll all have their babies and I'll have Lops, Lion Heads and 'meat' type bunnies :)
