Yesterday, my female Cheche got out of her cage.
I went out around 8:20 am to check on all the new mothers/mothers-to-be. I noticed her hopping through a patch of strawberries.
And well, I had my puppy, Dixie out with me. She saw Cheche and tore off after her. The two went racing and Cheche shot off into the woods.
It took us 4 seperate, very long, thick woods and thorns, and until around 3:00 in the afternoon until we finally managed to catch Cheche and put her back into her cage.
Since she was just bred this past week and she's so fast; plus she was so scared form being chased by Dixie, that I honestly didn't think we'd ever catch her and I'd see little multi-colored, Lion Head bunnies running around our yard in a few months.
But I was really happy when we finally managed to wrangle her :) She's so beautiful, I really want her color to go through into some babies. Plus, with all the wild animals around here, I don't know how long she would have lasted out on her own. So I'm very thankful to have her back, safe and sound with her sisters :)
