Nesting

Yesterday I had to move around a lot of my bunnies in order to get the 5 females who are due this Friday into hutches.

Above is Harriet, my Mini/Holland Lop female and below is Lily, my Velveteen Lop female.  Both have begun ripping out fur and building their nests :)

Then here's Lilac's nest.  She's the other Velveteen Lop female.  She hasn't begun building anything.  So I'm doubting she's really pregnant.

Lilac's back, as she's busy eating some greens I put out in the wire section of the hutch for her.

And Button's, my Flemish mixed female.

Kayla, my Lion Head ripped out a lot of fur last week, but nothing this week.  This makes me think it was a false pregnancy, as she's just guessing when she should have been due.  Hopefully I'm wrong and she'll have a litter, but currently, it doesn't look good.

Button's started working on her nest within seconds of being put in it.

Same with Harriet.

But Button's went to town.  She, similar to Saffron when she was due, just started ripping fur!

And ripping...

...and ripping!

I gave her some strawberry leaves for her to eat to help prevent a miscarriage.  Instead of eating it, she added it to the nest :)

Lily was working fairly hard on her nest as well.

But every time I went to get a picture of her progress, she'd come running over, wanting to be pet :)

She's a sweet bunny :)

Harriet :)

So 3 out of the 5 females appear definitely pregnant and ready to have their babies soon.  While the other 2 don't look as hopefully.  Hopefully I'm wrong, but I doubt it.  If they don't have babies, I will breed them this Monday.  Possibly along with some of my younger bunnies who I've been raising up.
